What is the Modern Mystery School?
The Modern Mystery School is part of an ancient spiritual lineage that goes back over 3,000 years to the time of King Salomon. It carries forward sacred teachings that help people transform their lives, develop spiritual awareness, and embody their highest potential.
What makes the Mystery School unique is its focus on direct experience. It’s not about belief or philosophy, it’s about practical tools that bring real change. Through initiations and classes, students learn how to manage their energy, find clarity of mind, and strengthen their connection to spirit. I am honoured to share the teachings of the Modern Mystery School, a global community devoted to personal mastery, spiritual awakening, and living with purpose. Rooted in an ancient lineage of wisdom, the Modern Mystery School offers time-tested tools and initiatory practices that empower us to create real and lasting transformation in our lives.
This lineage has been preserved through an unbroken oral tradition, passed from teacher to student for thousands of years. In 1997, Founder and Hierophant Gudni Gudnason opened the doors of this once secret tradition to the public, making its profound teachings available to all who seek Light, Knowledge, and a deeper connection to their true purpose.
Today, the lineage is held by Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon and Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto Nakagome, alongside Founder Gudni Gudnason. Together, they safeguard the purity of the teachings and lead a worldwide network of Teachers, Guides, and Healers who are dedicated to helping others awaken their divinity.
The Modern Mystery School tradition carries a sacred responsibility to protect and share the ancient wisdom of creation, empowerment, and manifestation. Its timeless axiom, Know Thyself, invites each of us to embark on a journey of healing and self-realisation, revealing the joy, peace, and fulfilment that comes from truly knowing who we are.
Throughout history, Initiates of the Mysteries such as Leonardo da Vinci, Joan of Arc, Nikola Tesla, Sir Isaac Newton, David Bowie and Pamela Colman-Smith, have embodied these teachings to fulfil their life’s work and serve humanity. The same tools and initiations that guided them are available to us today.
